Write a short narrative
After identifying unfamiliar words in The Taming of the Shrew, you have enough information to write a short narrative. Choose one or two words from your chart. Write a short narrative in which you use those words correctly. Consider using context clues in your writing. Before writing, read the model short narrative provided. Notice what information is in each of the four sentences. Try structuring your narrative in the same way.
Model: Short Narrative
The firefighter saved the child from the burning house. The child was not hurt, but flames disfigured the firefighter’s face. After having surgery, the firefighter’s face healed well. No one would have ever guessed that his face had been burned in a fire.
