The author claims that marketers are successful in using technology to target youth. In fact, according to Elizabeth Sweet, a doctoral student at University of California-Davis, companies today are using video advertising on websites which target young children. Some parents and watchdog groups have tried to get companies to stop, but they have refused to do so.
