One conflict in “Eleven” is the external conflict between Rachel and Mrs. Price. Rachel does not want to put on the ugly red sweater, and Mrs. Price keeps telling her to put it on. This conflict advances the plot of the story. Their interaction leads to the climax, when Rachel starts crying. Eventually, the conflict is ended in the resolution.
