Lesson: Transitions Learning Targets
• Vary sentence patterns for meaning, reader/listener interest, and style.
• Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English punctuation when writing.
When you are writing, using transitions helps the reader understand the connections between ideas. Transitions also help you vary sentence beginnings and sentence structure.
