Cognates
The English word comparable, the Haitian Creole word comparable, and the Spanish word comparable are cognates. They all mean “alike or similar in some way” and come from the Latin root com-, meaning “together.” The noun form
is comparison in English, comparaison in Haitian Creole, and comparación in Spanish.
