Have a short conversation
Work with a partner to create pairs of sentences that contrast general and precise nouns. One partner should say a sentence that contains one or more general nouns. For example:
The man went into the building.
The other partner then substitutes precise nouns for any general ones. For example:
The magician walked into the fun house.
Write your general and precise sentences on the lines to share with the group.
