Word Relationships
The words fact and opinion are antonyms. Antonyms are words that mean the opposite of each other. The Spanish cognate of antonym is: antónimo. A fact is information that is proven, and there is evidence to support
it. An opinion is what one person believes or thinks. See the difference between: “The Internet is more than 10 years old,” (fact) and “I think the Internet will continue to grow,” (opinion).
