With a partner, write a short personal opinion about how wasteful you feel Americans are using pronouns. Before writing, read the model. Notice what information is in each of the four sentences. In the text America the Not-So-Beautiful, the author makes the claim that Americans are wasteful and help contribute to poisoning the earth. I agree with the author’s point of view because I see a lot of trash in the trash bins outside. In addition, I know that many people do not recycle. I think that we need to try harder to clean up our planet.
