Communicating in Discussion Groups
You have participated in discussions in the past. Think about what made them effective. What did not work so well? A discussion group works together to consider a topic, text, or question.
All members of a discussion group need to communicate effectively to help
the group work smoothly and achieve its goals. Group members should allow opportunities for everyone to participate. With your class, create a list of guidelines to help ensure good communication.
