Independent Writing
WRITING PROMPT: Transform a text you have previously studied in class into a script. Be sure to include:
• Characterization and setting conveyed through dialogue and/or narration
• A plot developed through exposition, conflict, complications, and resolution • Stage directions and dialogue cues providing instructions for vocal and
visual delivery
• Audience engagement strategies, such as diction and imagery that create a
mood
