The Return
While some stories end once the hero has achieved the Ultimate Boon (the goal he or she set out to achieve), most stories continue into the final stage: The Return.

In this activity, you wil read another excerpt from A Wrinkle in Time and think about the archetype of the Hero’s Return.
Setting a Purpose for Reading
• As you read, identify steps in the Hero’s Return. Mark the text to indicate evidence of each step. Highlight transitions that indicate sequencing through time.
