Assessment Drives Instruction
Each Instructional Unit in SpringBoard is built around a performance-based Embedded Assessment, so students understand the purpose of every lesson. In addition to these rigorous tasks typical of common assessments and national exams, SpringBoard provides a variety of additional assessment opportunities including:
– Checks for Understanding – Writing Prompts
– Text Dependent Questions – Graphic Organizers
– End of Unit Assessments (online and print) – that include multiple choice and short answer
– Short Cycle Assessments (online & tech enhanced) – short formative assessments tied to content The following are examples of an End of Unit Assessment from each level.
